Backyard review of LowePro Midtown 160 camera bag

Backyard review of LowePro Midtown 160 camera bag Video Clips. Duration : 4.35 Mins.

I've been on the search for a slim, lightweight shooting bag - just big enough to hold two bodies with 2 zooms. My Stealth Reporter 400AW is great, but just too bulky for navigating through crowded rooms and cityscapes. Enter the Midtown 160. I had never heard of it before - LoewPro's Slingshots and newer bags get all the pixels these days - but found it at a local camera store - Unique Photo in Fairfield NJ. The bag is _just_ big enough to hold the Pentax K20d with DA* 50-135/2.8 alongside a Pentax Kx with DA* 16-50/2.8. Slotted in between is the Metz 58 AF-1 flash. With this setup I'm ready for anything - wide angle, telephoto, flash, low light, rain, video, etc... Perfect for reportage. There's a couple of side pockets that can hold spare batteries and memory cards, along with a pancake or fast 50 for a more discreet shooting setup. There's also a full-length pocket beneath the flap that can hold other sundries, or even a iPad. Unique photo also had other bags to see, but none fit my requirements as well. The LowePro Classified series is nice but deep and bulky. The Tamrac Express 7 was also there. It was a little bigger than the Midtown but actually smaller inside. The padding, you see, is thicker on the Tamrac, so two cameras won't fit. I was quite pleased to find out that this smaller bag could actually hold two bodies with just a sliver of room to spare. Padding is thin, but I'm ok with that. I've got bigger, bulkier, and better bags for transit. The Midtown 160 is ...
