Samsung WP10 / AQ100 HD video sample, first test

Samsung WP10 / AQ100 HD video sample, first test Video Clips. Duration : 0.75 Mins.

UPDATE: The Samsung had water leaking in the USB/video combo port one of the times I took it into the sea. I waited for it dry, and after some CRC into the port it worked fine again. Today, I had it in a pocket of my bag and my bag fell to the ground on a flat surface (not asphalt). I didn't even check on the camera because it fell from less then 50CM. Nevertheless, tonight I take the camera to take a picture and I see a black line of dead pixels on the LCD. That's annoying especially for a weatherproof camera! I cannot recommend this camera anymore. Seek for a Shockproof Certified camera! The Samsung WP10 (aka AQ100) is Samsung's first Waterproof Camera (3 meters). I've chosen it over the Pentax W80, Olympus Tough 3000 and FujiFilm FinePix XP10 for a few reasons, based on reviews and samples found on-line: (1) Overall photo quality looked better (2) Overall video quality looked better (3) It uses full optical zoom while shooting video (Pentax uses digital zoom) (4) Better performances in low light conditions. My first HD Video with the camera didn't live up to the expectations, but wasn't a total failure as well. As you can see, the zoom noise can be heard, but is still acceptable. The camera tends to loose focus especially while zooming, and can't focus if you get too close to your subject. The noise is higher then it looked here in other sample videos -- I guess it might be a matter of compression.
